General characteristics:

Heading and notes: Form number T.G. 65.
TELEGRAM centered right.
Message area: Boxed advertisement for ORNAMENTAL TELEGRAMS in top left corner and one of a number of possible war slogans above the window.
Reverse side: Two slogans - BE SURE TO FULLY ADDRESS ... (on flap) and CORRECT IME ... (at base).
Colours (text & envelope): Dark blue on white paper (generally discoloured with time to appear brownish.
Size of envelope overall: 79 × 135 mm.
Distinctive characteristics of this form:

 The window delivery envelopes with the EO-10 format incorporated one and then two slogans in support of the War effort. They were issued in the early 1940s and featured one of two emphases - "Be careful of what you say" or "Support for the Armed Forces".

Characteristics:

  • same format for the front as previous but with the slogan above the window changed from "FOR QUICK SERVICE ..." to one of several war-related slogans - see below;
  • same format for the reverse side as previously but with the top slogan on the reverse changed to reference "DEFENCE FORCES";
  • printed in blue on white paper.
